EPALE Conference 2019
Client: The European Union
We were commissioned to produce a new illustrative style to work with the existing branding for a range of creative outputs for a jointly delivered conference for The Learning and Work Institute and EPALE UK (the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe). The ‘Pathways to Progression: Implications for Future Workforce Development’ conference was about upskilling pathways and the implications for the adult learning workforce.
To execute the client brief we developed a range of illustrations that reflected, reinforced and complimented the message of formal, non-formal, informal, fluid and flexible pathways for adult learning.
The fun, engaging and impactful style expanded upon the current branding of EPALE with the use directional arrows and icons that represent skills a learn may encounter on their journey, while retaining brand attributes from the Learning and Work Institute such as colour. This helped tie both brands together in a cohesive and robust manner.

Our approach to illustration allowed for a wide range of tailored creative outputs including delegate packs, brochures, presentation templates, letterheads, visitor badges, online advertising and animated video assets.
